Solo Exhibit "Realismo Mágico"

To expose my artwork and be acknowledged for it, is a humbling and rewarding experience.

Art is subjective so I do not expect the whole world to get my vision, but when even a small amount of people end up feeling uplifted by my work, my purpose of creation is accomplished.

Here are some of the awards, exhibits and publications of my artwork I had the privilege to be part of.

Solo Exhibit "Realismo Mágico"

Curator: Mikel Bownman Interiors | Gallery: Mannmade Mexico | Location: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Mexico has always inspired me with its undeniable fantastic creativity, history and beautiful culture throughout my entire life. My special homage to such experience and encounters came to life in such an unexpected scale, medium (digital output on wood) and joy. It was also a perfect way to celebrate Spring with my mother who flew from Tokyo.

This exhibit would not have been possible without the creative vision, hard work and support by Mikel and Louise.

Mikel is the owner and founder of Mikel Bowman Interiors, a talented, creative modern interior designer specializing in residential and commercial properties in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Louise is the owner of MannMade Gallery, a passionate artist and collector who develops modern Mexican decor with artisans of Mexico.

Art & Vin Wine Label Competition 2021

Art & Vin Wine Label Competition 2021

Competition: Domaine Bertagna Art & Vin Wine Label Competition | Theme: La Liberté | Location: France

So if you know me well, I’m an avid wine lover…and a passionate and adventurous artist. May I say that combined all is a dream come true; a bliss beyond one’s endeavor?

I’m humbly honored and thrilled to have won a wine label artwork open call competition hosted by the sophisticatedly crafted and immensely superb winery: Domaine Bertagna in Burgundy (Côte de Nuits), France. The artwork is for the Chardonnay Les Croix Blanches label for the Vintage 2020 to be introduced this late Spring.

The artwork theme was “la liberté” so I went with my usual whimsical free-spirited world to depict a scenery of what “freedom” means to me adding their charming chateau and winery field in the distance (I’d love to visit one day!)

Check their website to learn more about their wine-making, history, global distribution list, their mesmerizing process and dedication in wine-making along with the people who are devoted in making all the magic come true.

Thank you Domaine Bertagna for the opportunity for global artists including myself to participate in this inspiring project that combines wine and art!
