ABOUT

Hello. I’m a Japanese Mexican artist, graphic designer and creative director based in New York City.  As a graphic designer, I have over 25 years of professional design experience and broad skills that include branding identity / marketing graphic design for retail, commercial, finance and fashion industries. I am also a passionate illustrator having had my work published in educational, cultural, social and non-profit sectors. My artwork transcends deep psychological and existential narratives that communicate the whimsical wonder and questions about borders, identity, loss, and hope.  

I’m always eager for challenges that require creativity and problem-solving, integrating tactical approach and innovative functional design to improve visual communications. Every day, I embrace the happiness of being able to indulge in the world of creativity and be able to work in the field I always dreamed of as a child.

I often enjoy rendering ideas on a sketchbook at impromptu spots in New York City and mostly, at my cozy atelier in East Harlem.

こんにちは。私は日本人の両親の元メキシコ•シティーで生まれ育ち、現在はニューヨークを拠点に活動するグラフィック•デザイナー、クリエイティブ•ディレクター、そしてイラストレーターです。グラフィック•デザイナーとしては２5年以上のキャリアを積み、その経験はリテール, 金融からファッションを含むブランディングやアイデンティティ等、幅広い商業デザイン分野に及びます。イラストレーターとしては多数の作品が教育、文化、社会分野のセクターや NPO団体の依頼の元、発行されています。私の多くの作品は心理的、実存的描写を超越し、遊び心溢れる不思議な世界への好奇心や国境、アイデンティティーそして失望や希望への疑問がテーマとなっています。

特に創造性のあるプロジェクトや問題解決を要求されるような、手応えのある仕事への挑戦にやりがいを感じます。戦術的なアプローチで機能的なデザインを求めることによって、より革新的なビジュアル•コミュニケーションが達成できると信じています。大好きな芸術の世界に浸りながら、幼年時代からの夢だった仕事に携われるという幸せを日々噛み締めながら生きています。

常日頃、アイデアやスケッチをニューヨークの行き当たりばったりのスポットや、主に居心地のいいイースト•ハーレムのアトリエでレンダリングするのが至福の時です。

Hola. Yo soy una artista, diseñadora gráfica y directora creativa de origen Japonés basado en Nueva York. Tengo más de 25 años de experiencia profesional como diseñadora gráfica y competencias amplias que incluye identidad y  marketing para sectores de la venta, industria comercial, financiera y de la moda. Como artista, mis obras han sido expuestos y publicados en sectores educativos, culturales, sociales y organizaciones sin fines de lucro. Mis piezas de arte trascienden narrativas psicológicas y existenciales profundas que comunica a través del mundo curioso y asombroso, cuestiones sobre la frontera, la identidad, la pérdida y la esperanza. 

Aspiro resolver problemas que requiere creatividad, integrando tácticas para diseño inovativo que funciona exitósamente para mejorar la comunicación visual. Cada día abrazo la felicidad de poder consentirme en el mundo del Arte y poder trabajar en el sector creativo cual siempre ha sido mi sueño de niña.

Me gusta retratar ideas en mi cuaderno en lugares que encuentro espontáneamente en la ciudad de Nueva York y generalmente, en mi estudio acogedor en East Harlem.
